ENE MENE BU is a children’s show, where the audience’s crafted objects are magically brought to life through animation.
The TV show is being broadcast from Monday to Friday on the German network KiKA and motivates preschool children to paint, craft and be creative. The kids can send in their crafted objects to be presented in animated sequences, as well as a virtual museum within the show & online. ENE MENE BU was awarded with the Grimme-Preis in 2016 in the category Children & Youth / Innovation.
In summer 2017 I took over the animation for a few weeks. I also frequently helped with scanning/preparing and 3D-converting the objects for the museum. You can watch my personal favorites of the 2D clips I animated here:
